Rear left quarter window regulator repair kit for the 2003–2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK — C209 coupe and A209 convertible. Corrects the usual failure on this car: the plastic guide and clip assembly cracks, the glass drops into the door or sits crooked, and the motor keeps running with nothing moving.
It replaces the parts that actually break — the guide, clips and cable hardware — and reuses your existing regulator rail and motor. That is what makes it a fraction of the price of a full unit. Compare your old part against the photos and the part number below before ordering. If your rail is bent or the motor is dead, you need the complete assembly instead.
Part Numbers
Mercedes part number 2096700103 — also written A2096700103 or 209 670 01 03 on a dealer invoice. This is the left (driver) side rear quarter window. The right side is a different part number; check which window has failed before ordering.
What This Fixes
- Rear left glass falls into the door or sits crooked in its frame
- Motor audibly runs but the window does not move
- Window travels partway and jams or slips back down
- Rattling from the rear quarter panel over bumps
Fitment
CLK-Class C209 coupe and A209 convertible, rear left quarter window:
- CLK320 — 2003 coupe, 2004–2005 (209.365)
- CLK350 — 2006–2009 (209.356)
- CLK500 — 2003–2006 (209.375)
- CLK55 AMG — 2003–2006 (209.375)
- CLK550 — 2007–2009 (209.472)
- CLK63 AMG — 2007–2008 (209.477)
The regulator is common across the engine range, so only the side and body style decide fitment — not which motor you have.
Installation
Rear quarter trim comes off to reach the regulator. Budget an hour or two if you have not been inside a CLK door before. Support the glass before releasing the old carrier — letting it drop is how the glass gets chipped.
Everything Else We Build for the W209 CLK
The CLK is one of the platforms we stock most deeply, and unlike most parts on this site the regulator fits every engine the car came with. Yours narrows it from here — headers, X-pipes, pulleys, filters and ECU work, all specific to that motor.
Also common on a CLK of this age: worn interior buttons and paint chips.
