If your Parktronic beeps for nothing, drops out intermittently, or one zone has gone dead, it is usually a single failed ultrasonic sensor rather than the control module. This is a new direct replacement for the A0009055504, the sensor Mercedes fitted across most of its 2014-onward range.
Read This Before Choosing a Pack
Mercedes does not use one sensor part number per car. On a six-sensor bumper layout the factory split is:

Common Questions
How do I find which sensor is bad?
With the ignition on and the system armed, rest a finger lightly on each sensor. A working one gives a faint rapid tick you can feel and sometimes hear. A dead one is silent. If you have a scanner that talks to the Parktronic module it will name the position outright — a generic OBD-II reader will not, since Parktronic sits on a separate bus. You can also swap a known-good sensor into the suspect position and see whether the fault follows it.
Do they need painting?
Yes — Mercedes supplies these unpainted and specifies painting before installation. Keep the coat thin. Ultrasonic sensors stop working reliably under a heavy paint build, so a body shop should stay well under about 120 microns. This is why cheap resprayed bumpers often come back with dead sensors.
Does it need coding?
Usually not. Most cars accept the sensor and clear on their own after a few ignition cycles. Some later cars with Active Parking Assist hold the stored fault until it is reset with a scanner — a few minutes at any independent shop.
Why does one bad sensor kill the whole system?
The sensors run on a shared bus and the module self-tests all of them on start-up. One that fails to answer makes the module flag the whole array rather than guess at partial coverage — which is why a single dead sensor gives you a red display and no parking aid at all.
