Getting the Most From the X-Pipe
Placement matters. Mounting the X-pipe as far forward in the exhaust as your chassis allows improves exhaust scavenging — the crossover equalizes pulses between banks earlier in the system, which helps cylinder filling and lets the tune take better advantage of the improved flow. The further back it sits, the less it does. We build your calibration around whatever configuration you are running, so tell us at checkout.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this tune safe for my engine?
Yes. We keep all factory safety systems active and tune conservatively for long-term reliability.
How long does the process take?
Typically 2–4 business days after we receive your stock ECU file. Ship us your ECU, or use the included OBD data cable to pull and flash your file remotely from your own driveway.
Will it pass emissions / smog?
The tune, K&N filters, and X-pipe do not remove any emissions equipment — your factory catalytic converters are retained.
Can I install the hardware first and tune later?
Absolutely. The car runs reliably with the filters and X-pipe even without the tune — but you’ll be leaving significant power on the table.
What fuel does it require?
91 octane or higher after tuning. The calibration is built around premium fuel so it can make the power safely.
Can I go back to stock?
Yes. We archive your original factory file, so your ECU can be returned to stock at any time.
