Restores proper fuel system sealing and commonly resolves EVAP leaks, loose-gas-cap warnings, fuel vapour odour, and check engine codes P0455, P0456, P0457.

Before You Order
Mercedes fuel cap fitment depends on factory option codes as well as model and year. This cap is for vehicles built with option code 916. It does not fit vehicles with code 801 or 802, or vehicles configured for ethanol fuel (codes 929 / 933). If you are unsure, send us your VIN and we will confirm before you order.
Driving a GLC (X253 / C253, 2016 and newer)? That model uses cap 2224700205, not this one. W213 E-Class owners (2017+) also need 2224700205.
Installation
Remove the old cap, inspect the filler neck for debris or damage, fit the new cap and tighten until it clicks. Many EVAP-related check engine lights clear after several drive cycles.
