M156 AMG H-13 Head Studs – Engine Protection Redefined
Protect your M156 AMG engine from one of its most common and costly failures with our H-13 Head Stud Kit. Factory head bolts in the M156 are known to stretch, weaken, and even snap under performance or heat stress. Our H-13 Head Studs are engineered as a direct, high-strength replacement, preventing head lift and ensuring long-term reliability for your AMG.
⚙️ Key Features
- Premium H-13 Tool Steel: Stronger than OEM and most aftermarket alternatives, ensuring maximum tensile strength and thermal stability.
- Prevents Head Bolt Failure: Replaces factory torque-to-yield bolts prone to stretching and snapping.
- Improved Sealing Integrity: Eliminates head lift, keeping oil, coolant, and combustion chambers properly sealed.
- Direct OEM Fitment: Designed specifically for the M156 6.3L V8 AMG platform.
- Track-Proven Durability: Ideal for supercharged, turbocharged, or high-performance naturally aspirated builds.

🧰 Step-by-Step Instructions for Bolt Installation and Removal
Proper installation is critical for optimal performance and head sealing integrity. Follow these steps to ensure even torque and reliable fitment.
Installation Instructions
-
Prepare the Components:
Apply a small amount of silicone to the washer and nut. This helps seal against the head and bolt since it’s a two-piece design. -
Torque Sequence:
Follow the provided torque diagram to ensure even distribution. Tighten bolts in three stages:- Step 1: Torque each bolt to 55 Nm
- Step 2: Increase torque to 110 Nm
- Step 3: Finalize torque at 150 Nm
-
Sequence Options:
- One Bolt at a Time: Complete all three torque stages (55 Nm → 110 Nm → 150 Nm) on one bolt before moving to the next.
- All Bolts Simultaneously: Torque all bolts to 55 Nm first, then to 110 Nm, and finally to 150 Nm, following the diagram sequence at each stage.
Our H-13 Head Stud Kit eliminates one of the most well-known M156 engine weak points — ensuring lasting stability under boost, heat, and high RPM stress.
⚠️ Note: Professional installation required. Recommended for performance and rebuilt engines. For off-road and motorsport use only.
