The M157 has two sets of catalytic converters. These Supersprint sections replace the secondary cats further downstream and do not effect emmisions. The primary downpipes bolt directly to the turbo outlets and are a separate part.

These Supersprint secondary downpipes (part number 849831) are designed for the 2012–2018 Mercedes CLS63 AMG (C218) with the M157 5.5L BiTurbo V8. They replace the factory secondary catalytic converters with straight-through stainless steel sections, reducing restriction and letting the exhaust flow the way it should.

The primary downpipes bolt directly to the turbo outlets, where the largest restriction sits. These secondary sections replace the second set of catalytic converters further down the exhaust. They address different parts of the system and can be run together for a full decat.
What warranty comes with these?

Will these set a check engine light?
They can on an untuned car, since the secondary O₂ sensors monitor catalyst efficiency. A calibration resolves it properly — we do not recommend defeat devices.
Do I need the primary downpipes as well?
No — these work on their own. But the primary downpipes address the bigger restriction, so most owners chasing maximum flow run both.
Are these street legal?
