2012–2018 “550” models (e.g., E550/CLS550) can be either threaded or unthreaded at the mount interface. You must confirm which side is threaded on your car:
- Inspect the chassis mount boss and the OEM mount base plate.
- If the mount base plate has the threads → order the Threaded Base Plate version.
- If the frame/boss has the threads → order the Unthreaded Base Plate version.
